| The
Evan Ashcraft Foundation is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and is applying with the IRS for public charity status and section 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity status. The intent of the
Foundation established by Jim and Jane Bright is to
memorialize SGT Evan A. Ashcraft who was killed in action in
Iraq on July 24, 2003. This will be done by performing
charitable acts. Before Evan died he told his family, "When
I come home, I just want to help people." The Foundation was
created to fulfill the wish of this exceptional man. |
Donations to the Foundation are distributed in memory of Evan Ashcraft and his desire to
help people. It will also provide educational funds to the veterans
and dependants of Operation Iraqi Freedom and supplement health
benefits to veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom. |
